What is PTFE Staple Fiber
Polytetrafluoroethylene is known as the "king of plastics", the father of fluororesin Roy Planck 1936 DuPont company in the United States began to study the substitutes of Freon. Therefore, the U.S. military kept the technology secret during World War II. It was not until the end of World War II that it was declassified and industrialized in 1946.
Teflon (Teflon) is a kind of high molecular compound which is polymerized by tetrafluoroethylene. Its structure formula is - [- cf2-cf2 -] n- It has excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance. It is one of the best corrosion resistant materials in the world. Except molten metal sodium and liquid fluorine, it can resist all kinds of chemicals. It can not change when boiling in aqua regia. It is widely used in various occasions where acid-base resistance and organic solvent are needed. It has the features of sealing, high lubrication, non sticky, electrical insulation, good aging resistance and excellent temperature resistance (long term operation at +250 to -180 C). Teflon itself is not toxic to humans.
The operating temperature is - 190 ~ 250 ℃, allowing sudden cooling and heating, or alternate cold and hot operation.
Pressure - 0.1 ~ 6.4Mpa (full vacuum to 64kgf / cm2)

As engineering plastics, it can be made into polytetrafluoroethylene pipe, rod, belt, plate, film, etc. It is generally used in corrosion-resistant pipes, containers, pumps, valves, radar, high-frequency communication equipment, wireless electrical equipment and so on. The dispersion can be used as insulating impregnant of various materials and anticorrosive coating on the surface of metal, glass and pottery. All kinds of PTFE ring, PTFE gasket, PTFE packing are widely used in all kinds of anticorrosive pipeline flange sealing. In addition, it can also be used for wire drawing, polytetrafluoroethylene fiber - fluorine fiber (foreign trade name is Teflon).
